Catholic Schools Week at St. Joseph Grade School was filled with faith, fun, and fellowship as our students, families, and staff came together to celebrate what makes our school amazing.

In addition to the Catholic Schools Week theme, United in Faith and Community, we featured an exciting Olympic theme, reminding us of the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and celebrating the gifts God has given each of us.

The celebration began with a spirited Opening Ceremony, complete with a parade of “athletes,” a torch bearer, and the lighting of the cauldron, setting the tone for a week full of school pride and enthusiasm. The week concluded with a joyful Closing Ceremony with the presentation of Olympic medals to our "athletes" celebrating faith, participation and community.

Throughout the week, students and staff competed in a variety of Olympic-style activities, including winter sport STEM stations, bucket flip, bean bag relays, and beach ball volleyball. Laughter, encouragement, and friendly competition filled the gym as students cheered one another on.

Beyond the games, Catholic Schools Week offered meaningful opportunities to explore our community through classroom field trips. Students also enjoyed a relaxing movie day and special family activities that allowed our school community to celebrate together.

Faith was central to our Catholic Schools Week celebrations with a special school Mass that highlighted the talents of our St. Joe’s students in both liturgical and musical roles. It served as a meaningful reminder that everything we do at St. Joseph Grade School is grounded in Christ’s love and teachings.

After our special Mass we enjoyed a delicious Pancake Breakfast, generously sponsored by the Knights of Columbus #2055. Families gathered to share a meal, laughter, and gratitude for the strong support that makes our school such a special place. All proceeds from the breakfast were donated directly to St. Joseph Grade School by the Knights of Columbus.

Catholic Schools Week was a beautiful reminder of what makes St. Joseph Grade School shine our faith, our families, and our commitment to nurturing the whole child. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration a success!
