At St. Joseph Grade School, service is more than an activity, it’s a way of living out our faith. Our recent Night of Giving was a beautiful reminder of the power of coming together to serve others with joyful and generous hearts.
This special evening brought together students, families, and staff for a hands-on service experience rooted in Christ’s call to love our neighbors. Throughout the night, our children worked side by side, learning that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Students proudly decorated colorful placemats for Tuesday’s Table, adding personal touches and cheerful messages to brighten the meals of those in need. They also created heartfelt Christmas postcards for Meals on Wheels, sharing words of hope, gratitude, and joy to members of our community during the holiday season. In addition, our St. Joseph families came together to fill an incredible 500 bags for Project Sam through Stepping Stones, providing essential items to support individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
What made the Night of Giving especially meaningful was the spirit of togetherness. This was truly a family event, with many families and staff members working alongside one another and modeling the importance of service for our children.
Events like this remind us that service strengthens not only our community but also our hearts. Through giving back, our students learn compassion, empathy, and responsibility; values that will guide them well beyond the classroom.
Together, we continue to answer God’s call to serve, showing His love through our actions and making a lasting impact in our community.
